What keeps maps going?
Waystone sustain comes from three places: running maps drops more waystones, the Atlas passive tree has explicit sustain nodes (for example Constant Crossroads, Fortunate Path, and High Road), and you can reforge three lower-tier waystones into one higher-tier waystone at the reforging bench.
First steps after the campaign
Enter Doryani's first map from the Ziggurat, clear it, then talk to Hilda to unlock a powerful boss-passive node on your Atlas tree. That node powers up every subsequent boss you kill.
Why are towers important?
Towers let you socket precursor tablets that add modifiers to every map in their radius. A single tablet can upgrade an entire region's waystone drops and rewards.

The first hours of Atlas are a loop of three activities. Switch tabs to see what each is for.
Your basic fuel. Each map you complete can drop waystones for that tier or higher.
- Start with the tier of waystone you have; do not skip tiers or you will starve.
- Use Hilda's boss passive node - it strengthens every boss, improving map-boss loot.
- If a map feels too hard, drop down a tier rather than burning your only high-tier stone.

The guaranteed first map after the campaign. Clear it to open the Atlas and trigger Hilda's passive unlock.
Talk to Hilda
After your first map boss, Hilda grants a powerful boss-passive node. Allocate it before farming further.
Clear a nearby tower
Capture the closest tower and socket precursor tablets covering the maps you plan to run.
Run the Precursor Fortress
A special map that advances your Atlas. Prioritise it when it appears in your radius.

Do I need to do both towers and tablets?
Yes, they work together. Towers provide the radius; precursor tablets provide the actual modifiers. A tower with no tablets does little.
What is the 3-to-1 reforge?
At the reforging bench you can combine three lower-tier waystones into one waystone of the next tier up. It is the safety net when your high-tier pool runs dry.
Why prioritise Hilda's passive?
It strengthens every map boss you kill, which improves boss loot across your whole Atlas - a permanent power spike for one conversation.
