Overview
Plant Abyssal Lich is a Witch that starts as a regular Lich, then unlocks the hidden Abyssal Lich ascendancy. After unlocking, you rebuild around plants — Entangle and Thrashing Vines — layered with Thunderstorm for screen-wide plant explosions.
This is NOT Plant Oracle. Oracle is the normal ascendancy path; Abyssal Lich is a hidden transformation with a respec and a different defensive profile. It is tankier at the top end but demands the unlock and a rebuild.

Is This Build Right For You?
Choose Plant Abyssal Lich if you want a tanky plant build and are willing to do the hidden-ascendancy unlock and a respec. If you want the simpler plant path, Plant Oracle is the lower-friction choice.
Do not copy the endgame planner before you have unlocked Abyssal Lich — the pre-unlock setup is a different build.
Abyssal Lich Unlock Route
Abyssal Lich is a hidden ascendancy unlocked by defeating Vessel of Kulemak (reaching the relevant Atlas depth / T14+ maps per the current client). The exact condition must be confirmed against official or current-client data — treat any single-guide claim as a claim to verify, not fact.
Before unlock, you play a normal Lich (or the same node layout). After unlock, you respec ascendancy, passive tree, and gear toward the low-life plant shell.
Pre-Unlock Leveling
Campaign — Normal Lich · 1-60
Level as a regular Lich using Entangle from level 1; it is available early and smooths the campaign.
Early Maps — Hold for Unlock · 60-75
Push to the Atlas depth that triggers the Vessel of Kulemak fight. Do not respec into Abyssal Lich yet.
Transformation Into Abyssal Lich
After the unlock, swap to Abyssal Lich, take Eternal Life to lock low life, and rebuild the passive tree and gear for energy-shield-based tankiness. This is a real respec, not a free upgrade.

How the Plant Kit Works
Entangle roots enemies; Thrashing Vines and Thunderstorm add damage; Accelerated Growth detonates the vines into screen-wide plant explosions. The loop is automatic once cast, which is why clear is fast.
The build leans on a permanent low-life state via Eternal Life: once you have energy shield, life cannot change, locking you below 35% for low-life bonuses.
Mapping Loop
Cast Entangle into packs, layer Thrashing Vines and Thunderstorm, and let Accelerated Growth detonate. Move continuously; the explosions do the clearing.
Boss Loop
Use Bonestorm for single-target burst on bosses, and keep the plant layers for add clear. Rupture the Flesh makes cursed enemies explode like a free Detonate Dead.

You will be missing the ascendancy and low-life layers, so the build will feel weak and fragile. Follow the pre-unlock config first.

Defensive Layers
The shell stacks energy shield, the Lich's inherent damage reduction (Soulless Form), the low-life lock, and Atziri's Disdain bypass. It is genuinely tanky at the top end — but only after the layers are all in place.
The biggest beginner trap is assuming the tankiness is free. Without the low-life lock and Atziri's Disdain, you are a squishy caster.
Content Fit
Best for T15 maps, delirium, and SSF/HCSSF once geared. Weak for players who refuse the hidden-unlock grind or want a simple league starter.
