Ritual: Tribute, Favours, Omens and the Rite of the Nameless

Ritual maps contain one or more altars. Clear the map normally, then activate each altar to spawn its wave; the map does not pause while you fight, so clear threats first.

Tribute stacks across altars in the same map. The final altar is where big purchases happen, so keep Tribute for it rather than spending early.

Deferring an item pushes it to the next altar in the same map; it does not vanish, but you must reach that altar to claim it.

Plan your Tribute before the last altar. Decide whether you are hunting a specific unique, farming Omens, or just banking currency.

Defer expensive items you cannot afford yet; they carry to the next altar and may become affordable as Tribute grows across the map.

Reroll only when the board has nothing worth your Tribute. A reroll costs Tribute and can still return poor options, so use it sparingly.

After the King falls, the Rite of the Nameless begins. It is a map chain where you collect body parts dropped by Rite encounters.

Assemble the parts into the Effigy at the ritual site. The Effigy is what drives the Foretold Bounty step of the chain.

This chain assumes a character that already beat the King; do not start it under-geared, as the encounters scale up through the chain.

The Bodach step is the end of the Rite chain opened by the Foretold Bounty. It is the deepest Ritual content and assumes a fully geared character.

Treat Bodach as a pinnacle gate: arrive with your defensive board intact and your damage confirmed, because the encounter scales past the King.
