QUICK ANSWER

Quick answer

Artificer's Orb adds one augment socket to a Martial Weapon or Armour. It does not work on caster weapons, and each item has a socket cap.

After adding the socket, place a Rune or Soul Core inside.

Salvaging augmented gear returns shards you can rebuild into orbs.

Use it

Use it on a Martial Weapon or Armour that still has socket capacity.

Sell it

Sell if the target is at its socket cap or you lack a socketable.

Hold it

Hold for your best base once you know the socketable plan.

EFFECT

What it does

Artificer's Orb adds an augment socket to a Martial Weapon or Armour. Once the socket exists, you can insert a Rune or Soul Core for its bonus.

It does not apply to caster weapons, and an item already at its socket cap cannot gain more.

  • Martial Weapon or Armour only.
  • Each item has a maximum number of augment sockets.

VALID TARGET MATRIX

Valid targets

Target must be a Martial Weapon or Armour with remaining socket capacity. Caster weapons and capped items are not valid.
