QUICK ANSWER

Quick answer

Astramentis is a Unique Stellar Amulet that grants +(50-100) to all Attributes and -4 Physical Damage taken. In 0.5.4 it is the strongest all-in-one levelling amulet and a core piece for attribute-stacking builds (for example the Gemling Legionnaire). Current rolls range 50-100; pre-0.2.0 copies rolled 80-100 and cannot be pushed into a higher bracket, only rerolled within their own range.

Equip at level 24; the all-attribute bonus satisfies attribute requirements for gems and gear well above your level.

A Divine Orb rerolls the explicit +(50-100) line within the current range only; a legacy 80-100 copy stays in its own range.

Use for

Meeting gem and gear attribute requirements while levelling, and feeding attribute-scaling uniques such as Hand of Wisdom and Action and Pillar of the Caged God in endgame stacker builds.

Check first

Confirm the roll range - current 50-100 versus legacy 80-100 - before overpaying on trade.

Avoid

Assuming a legacy high roll is strictly better: both current and legacy cap at 100, and a legacy copy cannot be improved with a Divine Orb.

DATA TABLE

Roll tiers and the worked attribute total

How the implicit (5-7) and explicit (50-100) all-attribute lines combine into the total all-attribute bonus on a single roll.

Roll tierExplicit +(all attr)Implicit +(all attr)Total all attribute
Low+50+555
Mid+75+681
High+100+7107

Worked example: a perfect roll grants 107 to Strength, Dexterity and Intelligence each (214 points above the implicit-only base). At 107 Intelligence, Hand of Wisdom and Action reaches 5 full 20-Intelligence thresholds (floor(107/20) = 5), adding its per-threshold Lightning Damage to Attacks; at 107 Dexterity it reaches 5 full 20-Dexterity thresholds for Attack Speed. Pillar of the Caged God scales its per-attribute bonuses off the same 107 per stat.

OVERVIEW

Overview and current versus legacy

Astramentis is the signature all-attribute Unique amulet of Path of Exile 2. Its explicit +(50-100) to all Attributes dwarfs the implicit +(5-7) from the Stellar Amulet base, letting a single item meet the Strength, Dexterity and Intelligence gates of high-level gems and gear far earlier than normal. The -4 Physical Damage taken line adds flat mitigation that is welcome on a squishy levelling character.

Because every attribute scales gem requirements, resistances from gear, and life or evasion breakpoints, Astramentis is a strong option whenever a build is attribute-starved - which is most league starters and many stacker archetypes.

Current versus legacy: since Patch 0.2.0 the explicit line rolls +(50-100) to all Attributes. Copies that dropped before 0.2.0 rolled +(80-100) instead. A Divine Orb rerolls a line within its own generation range, so a current item stays 50-100 and a legacy item stays 80-100 - you cannot Divine a legacy copy up to a 'new' high roll, and you cannot push a current low roll past 100. On trade, identify the range from the listed roll before paying a premium.

  • Current (0.5.4): explicit +(50-100) all Attributes; implicit +(5-7); total 55-107.
  • Legacy (pre-0.2.0): explicit +(80-100) all Attributes; total 85-107.
  • Divine Orb rerolls only within the item's own generation range.
  • Both caps sit at 100, so the practical ceiling is identical; the difference is how often a low roll hurts.

BUILD USAGE

Build usage

Astramentis supports any build that values raw attributes. The four personas below show where it pulls the most weight, from campaign levelling to attribute-stacking endgame.

Worked synergy: a perfect 107 all-attribute roll gives Hand of Wisdom and Action 5 full 20-attribute thresholds in both Intelligence (Lightning Damage to Attacks) and Dexterity (Attack Speed), and gives Pillar of the Caged God its full per-attribute scaling budget.

Pure attribute stacker

Runs Astramentis as the attribute engine, then scales uniques that convert attributes into damage or defence. A high roll is preferred.

Requirement solver

Uses the all-attribute line to equip high-requirement uniques (HOWA, Pillar of the Caged God) without heavy gear investment.

Campaign twink

A level-24 character equips Astramentis to leapfrog gem and gear attribute gates through Acts 2-3.

Endgame bridge

Holds the slot until a tailormade rare amulet with the right resists and life is farmed.

ALTERNATIVES

Alternatives

Astramentis is not the only way to solve attributes. A Rare Stellar Amulet can roll flat attributes plus useful suffixes (resists, life, spirit), at the cost of the large unified all-attribute line and the -4 Physical mod.

Other Unique amulets trade the all-attribute line for specialised payoffs (e.g. conversion, cast speed, or defences) and suit narrower builds. They are worth considering only when your attributes are already covered by gear or passive points.

Catalysts improve the quality of the attribute line (more value per roll) but do not change the range; a Vaal Orb can corrupt the item for an extra implicit but risks losing the item, so it is a late-game gamble rather than a fix for a low roll.

  • Rare Stellar Amulet: flexible suffixes, smaller attribute total.
  • Other Unique amulets: build-specific, weaker for raw attributes.
  • Catalysts: quality the existing line; Vaal Orb: optional late-game corruption.

ACQUISITION

How to get Astramentis

Astramentis is a random Unique drop. It can drop from any enemy or boss at item level 24 or higher, so it appears from the campaign onward and throughout the endgame. There is no dedicated boss that exclusively drops it.

  1. Campaign and early maps (level 24+)

Farm any zone or boss at item level 24 and above. Higher item-level areas increase the chance of a well-rolled Unique.

  2. Boss repeats

Repeating campaign and early endgame bosses is a reliable way to fish for Uniques, including Astramentis.

  3. Trade (Currency Exchange / trade site)

Because it is trade-only, the fastest route is often to buy a specific roll from other players rather than farm for it.

  4. Catalysts and quality

Once obtained, use Catalysts to raise the quality of the attribute line; this is covered in the alternatives section.

I
forum astramentis 1Forum question

Is the old 80-100 Astramentis better than a new 50-100 one after the 0.2.0 change?

A player wondered whether pre-0.2.0 copies are strictly stronger than current drops.
Editorial analysis

Both generations cap at +100 all Attributes, so a perfect legacy roll equals a perfect current roll. The legacy floor (80) is higher than the current floor (50), meaning a random legacy is less likely to be a low roll - but a Divine cannot move either past 100.

Our answer

No generation beats the other at the top end; choose by the actual roll, not by legacy status.

Can a Divine Orb push my Astramentis above +100?

A player asked whether Divine Orbs can exceed the stated maximum.
Editorial analysis

Divine Orbs reroll a line only within its own generation range. A current Astramentis rerolls 50-100; a legacy one rerolls 80-100. Neither can exceed 100.

Our answer

No - the explicit line is capped at +100 and stays within its own range when Divined.

What is the best way to farm Astramentis in 0.5?

A guide summarised drop and trade routes for the amulet.
Editorial analysis

Astramentis is a generic Unique drop at item level 24+, so the fastest deterministic route is usually trade; farming relies on repeating bosses and maps.

Our answer

Farm level-24+ content for a random drop, or buy a specific roll on the trade site.

Does Astramentis work for a Gemling Legionnaire stacker?

A video showcased the amulet in an attribute-stacking build.
Editorial analysis

Yes - the all-attribute line directly feeds attribute-scaling uniques such as Hand of Wisdom and Action, which the stacker archetype uses.

Our answer

It is a core enabler for attribute-stacking Gemling builds; pair it with a high roll and catalysts.

PROBLEMS & DIRECT ANSWERS

Problems and direct answers

My Astramentis shows only +50 to all Attributes

Direct answer: That is a low current roll (50-100 range). A Divine Orb can reroll it within 50-100, but it cannot exceed 100.

  1. Check the listed roll, then decide between Divining, buying a higher roll, or keeping it for levelling.
Trade seller claims a 'legacy' copy is better

Direct answer: Legacy caps at +100 just like current; only the floor differs (80 vs 50). Compare the actual roll, not the label.

  1. Verify the explicit value; do not pay a legacy premium unless the roll is genuinely high.
Cannot equip at level 20

Direct answer: Astramentis requires level 24. Reach level 24 before equipping.

  1. Check your character level against the Required Level of 24.
Attributes still feel short for my gems

Direct answer: Astramentis covers a large flat budget, but high-requirement endgame gems may need more; supplement with passive points or a requirement-solving rare.

  1. Review gem requirements and passive allocation before swapping the amulet.
