QUICK ANSWER

Quick answer

Slot Precursor Tablets alongside a Waystone before you Traverse. Each Tablet adds its implicit content (Breach, Delirium, Expedition, Ritual, Irradiated, or Overseer) to the maps around that node. A Tablet is consumed per Waystone use, so a failed map still spends that use.

Slot count is set by the Waystone's modifier count: 0-2 mods = 1 slot, 3-5 = 2, 6+ = 3.

Tablets are Magic-only (one Prefix + one Suffix) and cannot be upgraded to Rare.

Plan first

Pick the mechanic you want to farm, then overlap Towers so their tablets stack.

SSF progress

Irradiated / generic Precursor Tablets raise area level and rewards with less risk.

Avoid

Slotting a Tablet on a map you cannot finish - the use is wasted.

VALID TARGET MATRIX

What a Tablet can be applied to

Tablets slot alongside a Waystone you are about to run. They affect the maps in range of that node, not the Tower itself (Towers only reveal and drop a Tablet).

ACQUISITION

How to get Tablets

Tablets drop from map content and complete Towers; specific tablets favour their own mechanic.

  1. Completing Towers

Every Tower you clear guarantees one Precursor Tablet drop.

  2. Mechanic drops

A Breach Tablet is more likely from Breach content, Ritual Tablet from Rituals, and so on.

  3. Distilled Despair on Waystones

Adding the '+X% Precursor Tablets found' modifier to a Waystone raises tablet drops.

  4. Trade / Currency Exchange

Buy specific tablets from other players in trade leagues.

6

USE FLOW

How to slot a Tablet

  1. Choose the node

Pick a Waystone node whose surrounding maps you want to juice.

  2. Slot Tablet(s)

Place up to the slot limit (set by Waystone modifiers) alongside the Waystone.

  3. Traverse

Run the map; each Tablet spends one use and its implicit applies to the range.

PROBLEMS & DIRECT ANSWERS

Problems and direct answers

Can only slot one Tablet

Direct answer: The Waystone has 0-2 modifiers, so only one slot is available.

  1. Add modifiers to reach 3-5 (2 slots) or 6+ (3 slots).
Tablet did nothing on the Tower

Direct answer: Tablets slot with the Waystone, not the Tower; the Tower only reveals and drops a Tablet.

  1. Slot the Tablet alongside the Waystone of the node you run.
Cannot make a Rare Tablet

Direct answer: Tablets are Magic-only and cannot be upgraded to Rare with a Regal Orb.

  1. Accept one Prefix + one Suffix; hunt a better roll instead.
