Direct answers
Are all three Masters active at the same time?
No. You can unlock all three, but only the Master you have selected is active for the map you open. The other two are dormant. You are never forced to commit: you pick which Master's four nodes apply, then open a map.
How do I unlock each Master?
Jado: clear the Sealed Vault on the upper level of Ziggurat Refuge, then recover artifacts from the Jade Isles, Sacred Reservoir and Derelict Mansion. Doryani: complete a Corrupted Nexus (it needs a 4-modifier Rare Waystone to appear). Hilda: visit her campsite before the Withered Willow, left of Ziggurat Refuge, and hunt four Great Beasts.
How many points do I get?
Each Master has a 4x3 grid (12 nodes over four rows). You earn four points per Master as you complete their quest steps, and you spend those four points however you like - usually one node per row. Allocation is free to change.
Who should I pick?
Jado for Uniques, Strongboxes and Lineage Supports; Doryani for survivability and loot from heavily-modded Waystones; Hilda for harder boss fights with bigger Rare and Unique rewards. See the comparison and scenario tables below.

Unlock routes
Each Master spawns at a fixed Atlas location. Finish their first quest to unlock row one, then keep progressing to earn the remaining three points.
Jado - Spycraft
位置：Sealed Vault, upper level of Ziggurat Refuge (atop the mountain by the Fortress wall)
- Complete the Sealed Vault map to meet Jado.
- Help him recover artifacts: clear the Jade Isles, Sacred Reservoir and Derelict Mansion maps.
- Each completed step unlocks the next row of Jado's Spycraft tree and grants one point.
Doryani - Science
位置：Corrupted Nexus (appears when you use a 4-modifier Rare Waystone)
- Obtain a Rare Waystone and roll it to four explicit modifiers.
- Open it to spawn a Corrupted Nexus, then clear it.
- Doryani grants row one and one point; further Nexus completions open later rows.
Hilda - Hunting
位置：Campsite before the Withered Willow, left of Ziggurat Refuge
- Talk to Hilda at her campsite; she marks a Great Beast on your Atlas.
- Complete that map and kill its boss.
- Repeat for four Great Beasts to unlock all four rows of Hilda's Hunting tree.

Jado - Spycraft

- Doryani rewards heavily-modded Waystones. On low-modifier maps his scaling barely triggers.
- 'Disengaged Safeties' (Irradiated) and 'Volatile Connection' (Cleansed/Corrupted) add danger you must be able to survive.

When do swaps take effect?
The single most asked question is whether switching a Master mid-map changes anything. It does not.
You change the active Master or re-allocate its four points

OVERVIEW
How nodes stack and how to tell UI from bug
Each Master is a 4x3 grid. With four points you normally take one node per row, so the four active effects combine additively with the base Atlas tree and with Waystone / Tablet modifiers.
Master bonuses are independent of the main Atlas passive tree - they are a second, swappable layer that only touches the map you open while that Master is selected.
- UI vs. stacking: a node shows as allocated on the Atlas screen; its effect is applied when you open the next map, not retroactively to the current one.
- Stacking: same-category bonuses (e.g. Rare Monster modifiers from Hilda and from the base tree) add together; they are not mutually exclusive.
- Bug vs. display: if a bonus 'feels' missing, first confirm the correct Master is selected and the map was opened after the change. A display-delay or a conditional node (e.g. only on Powerful Map Bosses) is the usual cause, not a silent failure.
- When a node's condition is unmet (e.g. no Powerful Map Boss spawned), the effect simply does not trigger - that is expected, not a broken node.
VERSION CONFLICTS
Version conflicts and stale advice
Atlas Masters arrived in 0.5. Older point-allocation guides from 0.2/0.3 no longer apply, and a few community reports are still unconfirmed.

The three-Master system, the 4x3 grids and the free swap-on-open did not exist before 0.5. Any guide referencing old Atlas point totals is stale.

Community reports say the Pinnacle revive feels inconsistent. This is reported, not confirmed as a bug; verify on the live client before relying on it for Pinnacle attempts.

Only the selected Master is active per map. Running all three at once is not how the system works in 0.5.
