OVERVIEW
Quick answer
Patch 0.1.1c is a historical Early Access hotfix-pass that extended pinnacle boss respawn rules beyond the Arbiter of Ash. Xesht, Olroth, and King in the Mists all gained the ability to respawn after death, so a single mistake no longer ended the encounter permanently.
The patch also added the /ResetAtlas command. Its purpose is narrow: it is a recovery tool for an Atlas that has become fully bricked, meaning regions that can no longer be progressed or completed through normal play. It is not a normal reset and it is not a farming tool.
Finally, 0.1.1c added minimap icons for league mechanics and Strongboxes and reinforced map checkpoints. These changes make the post-death recovery loop and on-map navigation clearer, and they pair with the new respawn rules.
- Xesht, Olroth, and King in the Mists gained respawn after 0.1.1c.
- /ResetAtlas is only for fully bricked Atlas regions and does not wipe your progress.
- Minimap icons for league mechanics and Strongboxes were added.
HISTORICAL CONTEXT
Version facts around 0.1.1c
Path of Exile 2 Early Access, post-0.1.1 hotfix window
Relative to the current 0.5.4e baseline, this page records the 0.1.1c respawn and Atlas recovery changes that later patches have iterated on.
After 0.1.1 introduced up to six Arbiter of Ash attempts, players still hit a wall with the other pinnacle bosses. Xesht, Olroth, and King in the Mists did not yet share that forgiving respawn behaviour, so a death there was often a dead end until 0.1.1c.
0.1.1c is a targeted follow-up. It is not a content expansion; it is a quality-of-life and recovery pass that closes the respawn gap for the remaining pinnacle bosses and gives the developers a sanctioned way to recover maps that had become uncompletable.
- Pre-0.1.1c, only the Arbiter of Ash had a documented multi-attempt respawn.
- 0.1.1c extended respawn to Xesht, Olroth, and King in the Mists.
THEN VS NOW
Boss attempt evolution: 0.1.1 to 0.1.1c
Pinnacle boss attempts
0.1.1: only Arbiter of Ash had up to 6 attempts; Xesht, Olroth, King had no documented respawn.
0.1.1c: Xesht, Olroth, and King in the Mists also gained respawn after death.
Atlas recovery
0.1.1: no sanctioned tool for a fully bricked Atlas.
0.1.1c: /ResetAtlas added for bricked Atlas regions (does not wipe progress).
OVERVIEW
Xesht respawn flow
For Xesht, We That Are One, the respawn flow is tied to the Twisted Domain. Where you die inside the Twisted Domain determines where you respawn, so positioning matters even after a failed attempt.
One important detail: repeating the Twisted Domain for additional clears grants no experience. The respawn exists to give you another shot at the boss, not to farm endless XP from the same encounter.
- Respawn position is set by your death location inside the Twisted Domain.
- Repeating the domain grants no XP.
OVERVIEW
Olroth respawn flow
Olroth, Origin of the Fall, is reached through an Expedition Logbook, and its respawn follows that same entry item. The Crux of Nothingness is the relevant Expedition anchor for the encounter.
Because Olroth is gated behind the Expedition Logbook system, the respawn is owned by the logbook holder. Losing the logbook owner's access is the main way the respawn chain breaks.
- Olroth is entered via an Expedition Logbook.
- The Crux of Nothingness is the relevant Expedition anchor.
OVERVIEW
King in the Mists respawn flow
King in the Mists, the pinnacle version, is reached through the Audience with the King. Its respawn follows that entry item, so the Audience owner controls whether the party can re-enter.
As with the other pinnacle bosses, the respawn is keyed to the owner of the entry item rather than to every individual player, which is what makes the party-trigger rules below matter.
- King in the Mists is entered via the Audience with the King.
- The Audience owner controls re-entry.
OVERVIEW
Party trigger rules
A consistent rule across these bosses is that the owner of the entry item triggers the respawn for the whole party. For Xesht that is the Breachstone owner, for Olroth the Logbook owner, and for King in the Mists the Audience owner.
This means only the owner can click respawn after a death; the rest of the party rides along on the owner's action. If the owner leaves or loses the item, the group's ability to respawn collapses even if other members are still present.
- The entry-item owner triggers the whole-party respawn.
- Only the owner can click respawn after death.
CHANGE EXPLORER
Minimap icons and checkpoints
League mechanic & Strongbox minimap icons
0.1.1c added minimap icons for league mechanics and Strongboxes, making them easier to locate on the map.
Map checkpoints
Checkpoints placed in maps reinforce the post-death recovery loop introduced earlier, letting players regroup without fully restarting a layout.

OVERVIEW
Atlas recovery with /ResetAtlas
The /ResetAtlas command is a recovery tool for an Atlas that has become fully bricked. A bricked Atlas means a region that can no longer be progressed or completed through normal play, leaving the player stuck with no valid path forward.
Crucially, /ResetAtlas does not wipe your progress. It is not a normal reset command and it is not a farming tool; it exists only to un-brick maps that are genuinely stuck, preserving the work you have already done elsewhere in the Atlas.
Use it sparingly and only when a region is truly unrecoverable. Because it is a recovery measure rather than a routine tool, treating it like a map reroll would be a misunderstanding of its purpose.
- /ResetAtlas is only for fully bricked Atlas regions.
- It does NOT wipe your progress and is not a farming tool.

KNOWN ISSUES
Known issues & troubleshooting
- OpenIf only the owner can click respawn, a party can get stuck when the owner leaves or disconnects before respawning.
- TrackingPlayers sometimes mistake /ResetAtlas for a normal map reset; it is a recovery tool for bricked Atlas only and does not wipe progress.
COMMUNITY EVIDENCE
Community evidence
Finally Xesht lets me retry instead of ending the run on one death.
People keep thinking /ResetAtlas rerolls maps, but it just fixes a bricked region.
QUESTIONS
Frequently asked questions
Why can only the owner click respawn after death?
The respawn is keyed to the owner of the entry item: Breachstone for Xesht, Logbook for Olroth, Audience for King in the Mists.
That owner's action triggers the whole-party respawn, so only they can initiate it.
Why does Xesht give no XP on repeat?
Repeating the Twisted Domain after a respawn grants no experience.
The respawn exists to give another shot at the boss, not to farm XP from the same encounter.
Does /ResetAtlas delete my Atlas?
No. /ResetAtlas is a recovery tool for a fully bricked Atlas and it does not wipe your progress.
It is not a normal reset and not a farming tool; use it only when a region is genuinely stuck.
Can a teammate trigger the respawn for me?
No. Only the entry-item owner triggers the respawn, and the whole party rides along.
If the owner leaves, the group's respawn collapses even if other members remain.
Where does Xesht respawn me?
Your respawn position is determined by where you died inside the Twisted Domain.
Positioning still matters after a failed attempt.
Are these 0.1.1c rules still live in 0.5.4e?
We mark current applicability as unknown because we have not re-verified them against the 0.5.4e baseline.
Treat this page as a historical record of 0.1.1c.
